AN INTEGRATIVE CANCERWELLNESS PROGRAM
A cancer diagnosis can be a life-altering event, often accompanied by physical, emotional and psychological challenges. But accurate information can empower cancer survivors to handle the hurdles associated with treatment and recovery. Survivor University is a five (5) day educational and support program for adult Mississippians with a cancer diagnosis. Topics focus on improving health and quality of life during cancer treatment. The series provides a practical approach to cancer survivorship, access to subject-matter experts, and a platform for cancer survivors to grow their network of support.
Who Should Apply
Any adult Mississippian with a cancer diagnosis is welcome to participate. There is no fee to join, and it is not exclusive to UMMC patients. Any cancer patient in the state of Mississippi is eligible to apply for the program.
